This is the story of two lovers who decided to build their love with a broken soul. Cleo was a beautiful young woman, around her twenties, abandoned by her mother at the age of 4, who took her to live with her aunt Victoria, and Cesar, the older son of a couple who, after several failures trying to be parents, finally achieved the long-awaited dream of pregnancy.

They were both sweet, happy, mischievous children, but above all sensitive souls full of creativity. Both had an inclination for art and music, very intelligent and curious about life and its secrets. Both loved to read, and were crazy intellectual brains, inexhaustible minds with immense wisdom.

But then, what made their story turn into the cruel adventure of two broken souls?

As a teenager, Cleo boarded at a convent school, and Cesar also went to a boarding school run by Catholic priests. Their beliefs were solid but the experiences they lived there were more than tough.

When they reached adulthood, their paths crossed, and they decided to join their lives forever. They both saw some darkness in the other’s soul but neither dared to probe beyond the surface.

Music and liquor were a constant refuge from their encounters. After a while, that refuge was no longer cozy or welcoming. It was a cloudy whirlpool of unresolved emotions.

Anxiety, depression, anguish, jealousy, envy, vanity, selfishness, disappointment, frustration, deceit, and in the end, the inevitable happened: divorce and anger.

Cleo realized that she loved him but she loved herself more, so she left, and Cesar realized at the same time that his love for drinking was stronger than his love for her. None of them was able to realize, on time, that they only needed to heal their broken souls so they could love others in a healthy way. Now, it’s too late, for both shine a perpetual light.
