Time to clean up! It’s never too late, but you have to start somewhere. We all have things in our history that we prefer not to talk about, either because it’s painful or because it’s more comfortable to look the other way and think that if we don’t talk about it, it simply doesn’t exist.

If seeing our house clean gives us enormous peace of mind, think what about would happen if we clean our minds. We spend long hours cleaning, caring for, and repairing the place where we live. It is time to pull up the emotional carpet and look for the dirt dwelling underneath.

That muck, deep down, keeps us awake at night and often appears suddenly to remind us of its presence. Many kinds of dirt you can see, guilt, regrets, selfishness, arrogance, and endless behaviors that block our spiritual growth.

That so-called comfort zone is so cozy that we prefer to avoid fatigue. However, when we take a step and dig deep inside, and shake the last piece of the rug, it is where the magic happens. We are no longer the same as we used to be, think twice before making decisions, value every second of our time, and therefore we are more selective when choosing whom we share with those moments of mutual growth.

The easiest way to forget everything we are afraid of or makes us feel uncomfortable is to sweep it under the rug. If you ever lift it up, you will see how fulfilling it is to be able to keep the emotions in order.

Many people say I am happy this way, it does not bother me, there is no point in bringing that up, let’s keep saints quiet, it doesn’t make sense. Big mistake! You are not only cleaning your spiritual house, but you are also cleaning the path of all your future generations. There is no better gift than giving them a clean house, so they can dwell without fear and walk with confidence through the path they will follow.
